First, if you are looking for a tool that will find what is on your network and need to know what it is connected to, then netTerrain is probably what you are looking for and you’re in the right place. If, however, you only have a few devices you want to locate, sorry. This is probably not for you.

Second, are you a student looking for something to help you with a project? While we would love to help, however, our software is not really meant for student projects.

Do I need to schedule a demo first to test out netTerrain?

Not necessarily, but highly encourage it. Not because we want to rope you in with our spiel, but we know it would save you time to get you up and running. Plus, it’s easier to help you figure out if netTerrain is a good fit for your organization to begin with! We can also go over common troubleshooting questions during the demo. 8/10 times, if you try it out yourself without a brief overview from us, you won’t know our best practices in testing netTerrain. Trust us. The demo is helpful and worth 15 minutes of your time.

How long is my free trial and can I extend it if I need more time?

What do I need to do to get started?

Can I test netTerrain’s discovery during my trial?

What is the difference between on-prem and SaaS? Is one more costly?

There really is no difference between the two except that with an on-prem solution, you will get unlimited read-only viewers, and if using netTerrain DCIM, a full dashboard reporting feature. We offer both an on-prem install (netTerrain is Windows based), and SaaS deployment.

Does your software integrate with SolarWinds Orion or ServiceNow?

Yes, it does!

Can I import my Visio diagrams in the test version?

Unfortunately, no – though you can once you’ve bought a license. In the meantime, however, if you need us to show you how, we can certainly arrange that for you. Email us here or give us a call at +1.240.912.6223.

Can I import my KMZ/KML Diagrams during my trial?

Yes, you can absolutely import KMZ/KML diagrams during your free trial, but if there are too many objects, it may fail, as the test license by default comes with a smaller number of objects to test.

How does your pricing work if I am ready to purchase?

In a nutshell, netTerrain is priced by number of devices/objects. (Items like rack, PDU, Patch panel, server, router, switch, manholes, poles, fiber and splice enclosures) and also by number of Named Users with editing capabilities.
