April 14th, 2016
GAITHERSBURG, MD — Attendees at Gartner’s Data Center Summit in São Paulo, Brazil were able to get a sneak peek at the newest version of netTerrain (6.6) and the new outside plant solution (OSP) from IT documentation solution global leader, Graphical Networks. The netTerrain platform’s solutions include: DCIM, automated network documentation, an enterprise edition (offering both network documentation and data center infrastructure management), cable management, power monitoring, a portable edition available exclusively for IT consultants – and now, OSP.
With the release of version 6.6, netTerrain now includes a comprehensive cabling management product that builds upon the software’s already in-demand cable management functions. The Outside Plant (OSP) mapping service, ideal for outside plant (requires new netTerrain license), offers 19 zoom levels, which gives users the ability to level down to the street. The maps include postal codes, street names, towns, suburbs, state/region, and latitude/longitude information; they are available worldwide and are updated daily. Other significant 6.6 release features include: client-based Powerpoint and Visio exports, layer 2/3 network discovery and a Spanish language option.
Usability, features and flexibility are what make netTerrain stand out from other IT visualization solutions on the market. Customers are empowered to take full command of the software, without needing to contract out expensive custom work and consultants. Current netTerrain users include Airbus, AT&T, California Institute of Technology, NASA and Siemens. Designed by seasoned IT pros who have worked as system engineers and network administrators, netTerrain is crafted to meet the actual needs of users by working seamlessly in real-world deployment. Scalable, native, secure, 100% web-based and in real time, netTerrain works – whether it’s for 100 devices or over 20,000.
