Partners, value-added resellers (VARs) and consultants in the technology sphere: do your Clients need to document their IT infrastructures such as the data center, outside plant and fiber, or the Network?
If your clients manage IT infrastructures, such as data centers, the Network, and/or fiber and outside plant, chances are that, at some point, they’ve thought one or more of the following:
- “I need a network mapping tool to help discover what is on my network?”
- “I need a a cost-effective network monitoring tool…one that won’t give me the shivers when I see the price!”
- “I need a data center management tool that can help me manage data center floor space, power, and cabling.”
- “I need a fiber plant/outside plant solution to manage the fiber cabling infrastructure.”
- “Is there a solution that combines Inside Plant and Outside Plant in one?”
- “I need a solution that won’t break or bust my wallet…”
Our software may be of interest to you: netTerrain helps your clients solve big IT headaches. We invite VARs and consultants to partner with us. Graphical Networks, our company (we make netTerrain), has been in business since 2007. We have been selling our netTerrain software from 2009 to present. Our latest version is netTerrain 9.0 (released just last month) and we have a long-term, and ongoing, development plan for our software.
So…what is netTerrain?
netTerrain is an IT documentation software suite that comes in three flavors:
- DCIM (data center documentation)li>
- OSP (outside plant documentation)
- and Logical (network infrastructure documentation)
Hundreds of organizations, and thousands of users all across the globe, use netTerrain — in all verticals: from healthcare to manufacturing to education to resorts and airports.
In the world of IT documentation solutions, what makes netTerrain stand out? Our customers choose netTerrain for its ease of use, flexibility, scalability, and licensing options. You can read more about what makes netTerrain stand out to clients like yours in this article, which I’ll summarize below.
netTerrain is easy to use
Our company is anti-shelfware. We don’t make netTerrain to sit in a box and collect dust: we want our users to, well, use it. We try and make it easy for organizations to use a system that doesn’t take too long to understand.
To that end, we made netTerrain very easy to use from day one. You can learn more about our usability standards by clicking here.
netTerrain is flexible
When it comes to IT documentation software, flexibility is key to a successful project. In netTerrain, your customer can create any type of diagram they would like to see. Office floor space? Sure. Data center rooms and telecom rooms? Yep. Import my own floor plans, and pictures? Import existing data and spreadsheets? Yes to both. netTerrain allows your customers to create the diagrams that fit their needs rather than be forced into a solution that doesn’t fit their requirements.
netTerrain is scalable
netTerrain makes it easy for your customer to grow into the solution. Your clients can start off at 500 devices and increase the device count, when they continue to use netTerrain and gain wider adoption and usage.
netTerrain licensing options (perpetual and subscription)
Many software vendors don’t even offer an on-premises perpetual license these days; it’s mostly yearly subscriptions. At Graphical Networks, we offer both because we understand that customers may need to choose one or the other for specific reasons. What about a Software as a Service (SaaS) offering? Yes, netTerrain provides a SaaS offering as well. In fact, if your customer wants to start off on the SaaS and migrate it to an on-premise solution, this is also something Graphical Networks provides.

Our partners are at the core of our business: we’ve designed the Graphical Networks Partner Program (GNPP) to make sure our partners (and, most importantly, their clients) are set up for success.
