The same netTerrain you know and love now available with several new, cutting-edge features.
With the new year now upon us, we at Graphical Networks have kept ourselves busy in recent months, continuing to make progress in our flagship product line — netTerrain.
We are very proud of all that we have accomplished, and are happy to announce that, as of Dec. 13, we are officially on version 5.2, with version 5 now available for all three products – netTerrain Logical, netTerrain DCIM, and netTerrain Enterprise.
So what’s new for version 5.2? Let’s take a look at some of the features and improvements now available to you.
The Big Picture
Version 5.2 boasts several major enhancements to everything from its detailed dashboard to its Integration Toolkit that we believe will make managing your business’ IT infrastructure and assets easier than ever.
Some of these improvements include:
- Create link connectors to external databases using the Integration Toolkit
- Utilize new fill color and arrange text in bulk for better text handling
- Show aggregate data on diagrams with new $parameters (macros)
- Explore hundreds of new models using the expanded catalog
- Utilize improved dashboard and new annotator role
It’s All in the Details
While not every new feature is as big and flashy as those listed above, they still play an important role in making netTerrain a product with which users enjoy working. Some of the smaller improvements that users will notice in the latest version of netTerrain include:
- Diagrams that show the zoom level on the bottom-right corner
- Ability to lock aspect ratio for nodes in catalog
- Ability to hide links
- Ability to model the font, size, and relative position of the displayed field for ports
- Support for lat/long or x/y coordinate import in the Integration Toolkit
- Several modeler improvements for displayed field handling
- Multiple bug fixes and performance improvements
- Other minor improvements to SNMP discovery in the Integration Toolkit
